Meet Caroline
Caroline Culverhouse, MSS, LCSW, CGP, CTP, E-RYT, is a master facilitator, seasoned spiritual teacher, and trusted therapist with over two decades of experience guiding individuals and groups through deep personal, relational, and spiritual transformation. She has led hundreds of retreats, intensives, and therapeutic experiences with people from all walks of life—including therapists, facilitators, creatives, executives, and public figures—many of whom already possess insight and spiritual practice, yet recognize that insight alone does not always create lasting change.
Caroline’s work integrates clinical depth, embodied spirituality, nervous system regulation, and relational intelligence. She is a Certified Trauma Professional, a Certified Child and Adult Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, Certified Group Psychotherapist, and an Internal Family Systems© informed therapist with a clinical orientation that is relational, trauma-informed, and developmentally grounded. She has also spent many years working pro bono with disenfranchised youth and over a decade in intensive clinical work with women healing from Complex PTSD.
Her approach draws from Internal Family Systems© (IFS), Imago© relationship therapy, somatic and experiential modalities, psychoanalysis, and long-form group process. She is widely trusted for her ability to work with complexity—developmental trauma, attachment wounds, spiritual crises, cult and religious abuse, leadership burnout, and major life transitions—while maintaining nervous system safety and relational integrity.
Equally central to her work is her role as a teacher of mysticism, metaphysics, and the intersection of spirituality and psychology. Caroline is a Certified Heart Rhythm Meditation© instructor and a Certified Yoga Instructor, and is known for teaching spiritual concepts in a grounded, embodied, and psychologically integrated way, bridging ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic understanding. Her facilitation style is warm, irreverent, deeply attuned, and precise. Clients often describe feeling profoundly seen, regulated, and gently challenged in ways that lead to durable, real-world change.
Through her businesses, Integrative Awakening and hOMe PYM, Caroline leads private retreats, group retreats, and multi-day intensives in the U.S. and internationally, and mentors other therapists and facilitators in the art and ethics of skillful, embodied facilitation. At the heart of her work is a simple but uncompromising commitment: to help people live more fully and freely and to discover their own unique purpose in this wild journey we call life.
“Carrie has an all encompassing teaching of strength, wisdom and love.”
