The Art of
Facilitation Training
Knowing what to teach is one skill.
But holding the room? Is another.
You can be a wonderful therapist, coach, healer or teacher –
and still feel your stomach drop when a group goes quiet.
This is where we work on that. Learn it in person over a weekend, live online over six weeks, or at your own pace.
Not sure? Book a free consultation.
Maybe some of this
sounds familiar…
Working with one person and working with a room full of people are different disciplines. Most trainings teach the content. Very few teach what actually happens when human beings sit in a circle together.
You feel responsible for everyone's experience in the room.
Silence makes you nervous — so you fill it.
Someone shuts down (or takes over) and you're not sure whether to step in.
You want people to like you. Honestly, who doesn't?
You can sense a group doesn't feel quite right.
You just can't name why.
THREE WAYS TO LEARN
Same Training. Choose the format that fits how you learn.

FROM A RECENT LIVE WEEKEND
"I walked into this weekend feeling that I was years away from my goal of facilitating a support group, but I am walking out feeling as though that dream is within arm's reach. I cannot put into words how this experience has reshaped my outlook."
-Ryan S.
"I've felt scared about my readiness but drawn to take a step forward toward my dreams. Carrie not only taught me so much, but helped me recognize the tools I've had all along and how to sharpen and hone in on my vision. I feel excited about my new level of confidence thanks to this experience."
-Amanda S.
"Carrie created a welcoming, supportive environment that encouraged connection, reflection and learning. I walked away with a deeper understanding of the importance of presence, intentionality and creating space for others. This training reinforced the kind of facilitator and leader I aspire to be."
-Nicole L.
Hi, I'm Carrie. I haven't arrived on the
mountaintop. I'm still arriving.
Your guide
I've been leading retreats and support groups since 2008, first at my retreat center in Reading, PA, and later in Sedona and Hawai'i. I'm a psychotherapist and a spiritual teacher, and I don't ask anyone to choose between the two. Bring all the woo into the clinical space. We'll integrate it.
I'm not interested in being a guru. I'm interested in helping humans, and helping humans help humans. I teach facilitation the way I learned it: through a lot of rooms, a lot of mistakes, and a lot of real people.
